When time records are weak, the employee's estimate can win. PunchMan keeps verified punches, a reason for every edit, and timecards your staff sign at the kiosk each pay period.

Turn any tablet or computer into an employee time clock kiosk. Staff clock in with a PIN, fingerprint or face; managers get day‑by‑day timesheets and automatic payroll-ready reports.

A tablet or spare PC becomes the time clock. This one works (demo data, nothing leaves this page): use employee 1001, 1002 or 1003 with PIN 1234. Your keyboard works too.

three ways toPunch.
Each location uses one method or all three. The optional checks stop one employee punching for another, and a PIN always works as the fallback.
Number + PIN.
Staff type their employee number, then a 4–6 digit PIN only they know. Five seconds, no training.
- Employee numbers start at 1001 at each location.
- Two punches within a minute count as one — nobody double‑punches by accident.
- Forgot to clock out? A manager fixes it in Timesheets.
Fingerprint.
Plug a scanner into the kiosk. The fingerprint stays on the scanner — only the matched employee number reaches PunchMan.
- Turn it on per location in Settings.
- Enrol each employee once, with their written consent.
- A PIN still works if a finger won't read.
Face check.
The kiosk camera confirms who's punching. It runs on the device and stores a set of measurements — numbers — never a photo. (This demo doesn't use your camera.)
- Optional, off by default, per location.
- Needs a camera and the employee's written consent.
- A mismatch is flagged for a manager, not blocked.

the time clock thatFights Claims.
Every business with hourly staff faces the same three claims. PunchMan keeps the evidence that answers each one, and hands it back as a ready answer, at no extra cost.
At clock-out staff can tap “hurt at work today?” Yes reaches a manager at once. No is on record, the answer to “I clocked out fine on Friday and came back hurt on Monday.”
Resignations signed at the kiosk, warnings staff acknowledged, no-shows with every call logged. Upload the notice and your answer is drafted, with the deadline tracked.
- Proof file for any employee and dates: every punch, how it was verified, every change and why.
- Tamper-evident record: every punch and edit is chained, and the day's fingerprint is emailed to you each morning.
- Two taps, all optional for staff. Clocking in and out stays one tap.
- Who added hours by hand, by manager, each pay period.
- Not legal advice: Shield keeps records and drafts answers; read each one before you send it.

employee time clockQuestions.
What teams ask before replacing a paper timesheet or traditional punch clock.
What is an employee time clock kiosk?
It is a shared tablet or computer where employees clock in and out. PunchMan gives each location a private kiosk link and supports employee number plus PIN, fingerprint scanners, and optional face checks.
Does PunchMan work across countries and time zones?
Yes. Each location uses its own IANA time zone, including half-hour and quarter-hour offsets, so a multi-country company can keep local punch times and reporting schedules accurate. Employment, biometric, tax and privacy rules still need local review.
Can PunchMan manage more than one location?
Yes. Owners can manage every location from one account, while regional and location managers see only the properties assigned to them. Employee and shift data stays isolated between customer companies.
How does PunchMan help with wage, injury and unemployment claims?
Shield keeps the evidence those claims are decided on: verified punches, a reason for every edit, timecards employees confirm at the kiosk, optional clock-out answers about injuries and breaks, resignations and warnings acknowledged at the kiosk, and no-show records. When a claim arrives, it prepares a claim file with a suggested answer and tracks the deadline. It is a record-keeping tool, not legal advice.
Do employees have to answer questions when they clock out?
No. Clocking in and out is one tap. The clock-out questions are optional, and the screen clears by itself if nobody answers. An employee who reports an injury is never held up; their manager is told straight away.
Can I pay yearly?
Yes. Paying for a year at once saves 10%: $421.09 per location instead of $467.88. You can switch from monthly to yearly any time in Settings, and back to monthly from your renewal date.
How do referrals work?
Every account has a referral link. When a business signs up with it and makes its first payment, both companies get 2 months free as credit on their bills, on top of any other offer.
Does PunchMan export payroll-ready time data?
Yes. PunchMan creates detailed timesheets, CSV exports and QuickBooks IIF files, and automatically emails each location's bi-weekly hours report to its management team.
